Pop-Up Cinema Half Price Mondays & Bring Your Pooch For A Doggy Date

Wednesday February 21st, 2018

South Wharf’s pop-up cinema has extended its dates and will continue screening crowd favourites until March 8, 2018.

The popular riverside outdoor cinema has released seven new movie sessions across a suite of genres, including Disney classic ‘The Lion King’ to newbies such as ‘La La Land’. Also on the bill is ‘Bad Moms’, ‘Lion’, ‘Happy Gilmore’, ‘The Lake House’, ‘Love Actually’, ‘The Intern’ and ‘The Matrix’.

Half Price Mondays

Every Monday from now until the season ends, you can snag a sesh for an absolute steal on Monday evenings. Adult tickets for $6.50? You betcha! Monday February 16 will see cult classic ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ up on the big screen and ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ will show on Monday March 5.

Pooch Friendly Screening

The Common Man is hosting a dog-friendly session of ‘Marley & Me’ on Sunday February 25, allowing guests to bring their fur-babies for a doggy date to the screening. That’s right – bring your pooch along to curl up on Common Man’s astro turf, while you sit back and enjoy the ultimate doggy flick. Pups and popcorn at the pop-up cinema – too cute!

Drinks & Movie Munchies = Sorted

The Heineken 3 Rooftop Pop-Up Bar and Pimm’s Garden will be in operation for every screening at Common Man’s outdoor cinema. Refreshments include beer (of course), jugs of Pimm’s (obviously), as well as espresso martinis, frosé (yas!), a variety of Giesen wines and soft drinks.

Guests can enjoy a range of dishes direct from the Common Man kitchen, such as pizza, burgers and salads and – of course – movie snack favourites like popcorn and choc tops are available from Common Man’s candy bar.

There really is no other outdoor cinema experience quite like the one in South Wharf – as dusk turns to night, watch the sun go down and glisten along the Yarra River, as the Melbourne skyline briefly turns gold, before the stars come out and you kick back in your deck chair to enjoy a classic movie, refreshing drink and a tasty bite.

Common Man’s pop-up cinema makes for a perfect date – with a special someone, a group of friends, or family.
